Design Features
● Cavity Pressure Relief
When force created by cavity pressure is lower than the force created by line pressure, then contact between ball and seat ring is assured to provide a tight seal.
When cavity pressure is higher than seat spring force plus line pressure, the self relieving action allows the valve seat to move slightly away from the ball surface. Therefore, any over pressure inside the body cavity is discharged into the pipeline to restore the balance between the body cavity and the pipeline (either upstream or downstream side).
● Anti Blow-out Stem
Stem is made separately from the ball. An integral shoulder upon the lower end of the stem make sure it blowout proof.
● Body and stem Sealing
The double sealing design of the O-Rings and fire safe graphite gaskets ensure zero leakage at the body and closure connections. Potential leakage from the valve stem area is prevented by dual O-Ring seals and a gland gasket.
● Anti-Static Device
All flanged ball valves include dual grounding systems from stem to ball and stem to body. An anti-static feature is provided to ensure electrical continuity.
● Fire Safe design
Fire safe construction is standard on all trunnion mounted ball valves. In a fire situation, after fire deteriorated the O-rings, gland, body gasket and the fire safe stem packing prevents external leakage.Also the edge of the metal seat preloaded by the power of seat spring comes into contact with the ball surface to minimizes through leakage.
● Double block and bleed
In the closed position, each seat shuts off the process media independently on each side or simultaneously on both side of the ball, the cavity can be vented or bleed through vent or drain valves on the valve body. DIB available upon on request.
● Emergency sealant injection system
Titan trunnion mounted ball valves are equipped with sealant injection fittings at the stem and seat area of body surface. These fittings include check valves to offer backup sealing. If leakage happens at either the seat or stem packing area, it can be temporarily be stopped by sealant injection in the to secondary sealing system.
● Internal stem stop design
Stem key and stem pin design provides easy and accurate fully open and fully close for actuator.
● Choice of Delta ring seat design
The material of delta ring is elastomer which has better elasticity, can absorb the deviation in the ball to fulfill zero leakage easily, especially for large size ball or austenitic ball or full-welded ball valve. This option available upon on request.
Lipseal is spring energized seal include Elgiloy or inconel spring with PTFE jacket. It highly recommend for corrosive chemical media, high sour gas, low temperature and cryogenic service.
